Automatic Credit Loading (ACL)

Automatic Credit Loading (ACL) is a service where by MTL prepaid customers can have their phone accounts credited remotely with a prescribed amount of airtime at a given date of the month. Customers just has to sign up for service and pay the prescribed value of airtime every month. Payment can be made at any MTL shop or electronically through any bank.

SIP Trunk

SIP trunk service delivers voice and other unified communication services to a customer over a data link. As technology is now moving steadily towards Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), this product is an extension of that and replaces traditional telephone lines using E1 PRI trunks that were used in the past. The customer equipment used to access this service is an IP-PBX, which is a PABX with capabilities to interconnect using IP trunks and extensions.

SIP trunks are very flexible and help our business customers to reduce costs because they share the same connectivity with the internet/data network and allow the customers to easily scale in terms of number of phone lines that they need. The SIP trunk can carry unlimited phone lines over the same data link.

A PABX is a system or machine (and sometimes referred to as the switch board) that allows a telephone communication system to be built within an organisation. Offered to corporate customers, a PABX machine allows a single MTL post-paid or prepaid access number to offer multiple communication lines to outside callers while providing a range of external lines to internal callers or staff. It is used to enhance experience of customers subscribed to fixed and wireless post-paid and prepaid voice services.

MTL stocks different types of PABX from different vendors depending on demand from customers. Some of the features include Automatic Attendant or Auto Attendant, Call back, Call Forwarding (Follow me), Call Recording, Call Conference, Call waiting, Call Park, Call Pickup, Do Not Disturb (DND), Forward on Busy/No Answer, Incoming Queue, IVR Interactive Voice Response or AVR (automated voice response) and ARU (Automated Response Unit), IP Telephony, Music on Hold, Call Transfer to external party.
