Customer Service at MTL

Malawi Telecommunications Limited (MTL) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Malawian candidates to fill the vacant positions of Key Accounts Executive at its offices in Lilongwe.

Reporting to the Regional Business Manager C&N, the main purpose of the job is to develop and manage relationship of the existing customers.
The duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
• Developing strategies to retain key accounts assigned.
• Identifying opportunities to grow market share from existing key accounts
• Growing revenue from the existing clients through cross selling and upselling
• Making presentation to assigned customers on new products and product improvements.
• Managing / coordinating clients projects from planning to completion
• Executing strategies, solving problems to develop strong business relationships with assigned accounts.
• Managing assigned accounts on day to day basis.
• Negotiating and maintaining update contracts of all assigned clients
• Maintaining and managing a database of all customers in a portfolio for all products.
• Visiting a minimum of 5 customers a day or 25 customers a week
• Key liaison between the MTL and key customers assigned.
• Providing client service support
• Monitoring activities of competition and developing or recommending strategies to win back or retain customers
• Reporting timely on all initiatives, potential prospects, queries, challenges, call plan and new sales made in from key accounts.
• Administering all client surveys on customer satisfaction to sampled clients
• Responsible for customer’s bills and collection from assigned clients.
• Producing and submitting weekly, monthly and annual Reports on client activities including sales and collection
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor of Business Administration or its equivalent from a reputable registered College plus at least 3 years’ experience
• Knowledge of ICT products and services is essential
